Behind the Brand

Who am I?

Hello! I'm Kathryn, the founder of Kathryn Grace Creative Co. I work from home in San Francisco with three cats who attend all my Zoom calls uninvited.

I care deeply about making our time on earth meaningful, intentional, and maybe even a little more beautiful. I care about the planet and the people in it, which is why I work with professionals who share that passion with me, whether it's therapists creating affirming spaces, wellness brands doing things differently, or organizations fighting for real change.

Outside of design?

When I'm not working from my desk (or couch, or even bed if we're being real) you might find me completely immersed in whatever cozy video game I'm into.

Either that, or I'm somewhere in California along the rocky coasts, exploring tide pools. I am absolutely in love with ocean life, it brings me so much calm and joy. There's something grounding about watching the waves, the rhythm of the tides, and the small ecosystems thriving in the margins.

A row of Victorian-style houses with intricate architectural details, large windows, and staircases leading up to front doors, with green trees and power lines nearby.

Since 2018, I’ve been designing and learning design principles, how to actually run a business, & what good marketing looks like vs trends that come and go.

So much of marketing feels manipulative, built to create urgency that isn't real, or convince someone they need something they don't, encouraging overconsumption. I didn't want any part of that. What I did want was to help businesses / practices that are actually doing good for the world get seen, understood, and be represented by the kind of design that matches the integrity of their work.

Getting to be part of that, even just through design, feels like work worth doing.
